I’m the mom of a college student, and ordered this for him as an early Xmas gift. The computer feels very solid, has a nice rubbery top that doesn’t fingerprint (not really apparent in the pictures) and a VERY nice keyboard that is better than lots of regular laptops! (Keys seem full sized.) Would get one myself if I didn’t sit in front of a computer all day at work – LOL. RAM size could be upgraded so we bought a 2 GB card for $15.00 (non-Toshiba brand from Amazon) which worked fine and sped it up even more. Also, it has Windows "Starter" vs. Windows 7 "Home Premium" which most desktop computers come with) but son says that is actually better because it allows the netbook to work faster (because he tells me that "Starter" is 32 bit and Home Premium is 64 bit).

Received my Netbook from Amazon on Aug 25, 2011. Very easy to set up etc. The first full charge lasted 7 hours 42 minutes. The manual states the battery needs a full charge and discharge several times for max. time. The screen is awesome…clear, easy to read. I will install 4GB of ram as soon as I receive the Acer Recovery Media, ordered today.

This is a great little PC! I added the extra RAM and run Windows 7 Home Premium without problems. For people who are just wanting portability and computing power, this little PC works great. If you are expecting a gaming computer, with power like crazy, a huge keyboard, dvd/blue ray burner, and all that, you should have bought that instead. These pc’s are not desktop replacements! They are small computers that fill a certain niche – that’s all. For what I paid for this, it works as advertised and works for me. For any huge work, I use my desktop. My daughter in law uses hers for all of her college work, it works.
