Canon 60DI bought this tiny little netbook before going to graduate school, the thought being that it could be helpful to take notes in class. It has been wonderful for that. It’s lightweight and small. I’ve ended up typing all of my papers in it, with just one problem: the track pad is hardly separated from the space bar, so occasionally (often at first) I hit the track pad in place of space,it based on where my computer mouse is resting, may cause chaos.
I  recently upgraded the memory from 1g to 2g and upgraded from windows 7 starter to home premium (I had an upgrade license code from my HP laptop, so didn’t cost anything,).

Canon 60DI’m the mom of a college student, and ordered this for him as an early Xmas gift. The computer feels very solid, has a nice rubbery top that doesn’t fingerprint (not really apparent in the pictures) and a VERY nice keyboard that is better than lots of regular laptops! (Keys seem full sized.) Would get one myself if I didn’t sit in front of a computer all day at work – LOL. RAM size could be upgraded so we bought a 2 GB card for $15.00 (non-Toshiba brand from Amazon) which worked fine and sped it up even more. Canon 60DOnly had this for a few days but, I am very,very pleased. This machine has done everything the ad says it will do. I upgraded it from the Dell Inspirion 1100 and I can say this laptop is light years forward. I did uninstall a number of the Asus preinstalled software, uninstall the anivirus and installed my own kaspersky 2012, besides that I am using right out of the box. The HD screen is great, clear and nice. Videos are excellent,perhaps a bit more Ram memory? uncertain on that. Life of the battery is a good 6 hours on regular use,not power saver but just normal use. Set up was a breeze and I am networked with two other XP machines. All I had to do was put them all on the same router.
For now I give this five stars and would recomend to anyone.

Canon 60DI can’t imagine getting a better laptop for under 400 dollars. This laptop is replacing my HP laptop that was 2 1/2 years old and giving me all kinds of problems. Talked to several technical professionals and they both recommended the Asus brand.
I’m very happy with my purchase. Worked great right out of the box. All programs loaded easily. Runs very quietly.
So long as you aren’t needing to run multiple programs at the same time that take up a lot memory this is a fantastic buy.

    Canon 60DI purchased this HP 4530s to replace a laptop computer provided to me which had a very small hard disk but was completely enough for what I needed. However, I kept seeking another that was newer (another was four or five yrs old). Well, I researched and located this one. It’s great and I do love it. I think it may replace my laptop and become my primary computer. My PC has a 22" screen but that could not be enough. As always, Amazon got the laptop to me amazingly quick. I purchased it one morning and had it only two mornings later. I’m able to hook this laptop towards the TV through an HDMI cable and sit during my easy chair and work and/or play to my heart’s content. This is definitely a good buy. The crux of purchasing any computer is to know what you want it to do. This does all that I want and more!

    Canon 60D it is my first laptop I’ve ever bought and I am very satisfied I chose this computer. Firstly, the laptop never gets hotter on the bottom of it. This also is the first Windows 7 computer I have and I think that Asus is a great brand. It’s 500GB hard drive (440GB due to Windows 7 and other stuff) has more than enough space for most people to store various types of media and documents and programs. with 4GB Ram can run windows 7 very fast,No fuss, no drama. Just does what it’s supposed to, well. Great looking unit, and performs well in the environment that we have. Nothing heavy or processor intensive. Just document creation, web browsing, image storage and light manipulation. Does what we ask of it, competently. Used the HDMI to connect to our HDTV and audio system. Works flawlessly,and gives a great image off the web. everything for me was perfect.

The dual core run my laptop quickly, of course can not be compared to highly equipped laptops. I can fluently running Microsoft 2010, web browsers(up to more than 10 pages), DVD players, and some other programs together. It seems this product can hold more applications at one time.
